PurOne Multipurpose Cleaning & Disinfection Tablets
Hospital Grade Fungicide and Disinfectant to Destroy Biofilm
PurOne is the first EPA-registered disinfectant and fungicide proven to effectively kill biofilm bacteria, offering a breakthrough in disinfection by penetrating the biofilm's protective layer. This unique chemistry allows for more thorough disinfection, reducing contamination risks and providing superior cleanliness and protection in high-touch areas.
Biofilm Efficacy
Biofilm bacteria are complex communities of microorganisms that adhere to surfaces and produce a protective matrix, making them more resistant to conventional cleaning and disinfection methods. These biofilms can form on surfaces like shower heads, kitchen plumbing and sinks, HVAC drains, refrigerator drip trays, and tile posing a persistent challenge in hygiene-critical environments for those suffering from building related illness.
Biofilm Registration: PurOne is the first chemistry with an EPA-registered kill claim against bacteria in a biofilm.
What is NaDCC?
NaDCC (sodium dichloroisocyanurate), the active ingredient in PurOne, is a fast-acting and powerful disinfectant that dissolves in water to release hypochlorous acid (HOCI) and monosodiumcyanurate, a non-toxic, biodegradable compound. HOCI is the primary antimicrobial agent responsible for killing microorganisms. NaDCC is not a hypochlorite.
NaDCC in PurOne has unique properties that make it more effective than traditional hypochlorites. It is nearly pH-neutral and offers extended residual killing power due to its 50/50 chemical equilibrium. This means that 50% of the total available HOCI exists as free available HOCI, while the remaining portion is bound to NaDCC, providing a reserve of biocidal power.
In comparison to other hypochlorites, which exist mostly as free HOCI, PurOne offers superior performance by maintaining a reserve killing power, resulting in enhanced antimicrobial effectiveness and ongoing protection from pathogens.
Why NaDCC?
It is safer.
- Less corrosive when in solution
- pH level similar to skin - won't cause burns
- Increasingly used across entire hospitals, not just for C. diff patients
It is simpler.
- Eliminates the need for "measure and pour" methods
- Delivers precise dosage every time, ensuring accurate solution strength
- No dispensing equipment required
- Reduced odor for a more comfortable working environment
- Multiple application methods - spray bottles, dry wipes, disposable wipes, mops, and electrostatic sprayers
It is sustainable.
- Lower environmental impact
- Reduces shipping costs due to small tablet size
- Less warehouse space required compared to liquid disinfectants, reducing SKUs
- Minimizes packaging waste
- Saves on storage, shipping, handling, and waste management
Directions for Use:
- Wear gloves when handling tablets or solution.
- Dissolve tablets in cold or room-temperature water to maintain stability and effectiveness.
- For general disinfecting use 1 tab in 1 gallon of water.
- For fungi and biofilm use 4 tabs in 1 gallon of water.
- Stir or shake the solution after the tablets are fully dissolved for uniform effectiveness.
